Does your pastor really LOVE you?
This is
for all of you people who go to church on a regular basis or (gulp) get your
preaching from TV shows. You consider yourself a Christian and I hope
that is true...but this is especially for all of you who listen to so-called
"Prosperity Preachers" on a regular basis.
Give to
get...this is the message you will hear from them. They may say you need
to "sow a seed" or perhaps "make a vow" or simply give
willingly so that you may receive, per Matthew
13, "some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.” Now, who would not like to put one hundred dollars into
some venture and get 3 to 6 to 10 thousand back? I mean, if that was the
meaning of Matthew 13? Some would see their investment yield incredible profits!!!
But Mathew 13 is not about making money or gaining health. Jesus was teaching aboutincreasing riches uhm
regaining health err growing the Kingdom of God. Not making you rich. God is not
multi-level-marketing and He is not primarily concerned with making sure
everyone who comes to Him is rich and healthy. God is building His
Kingdom, bringing in people to the fold to some day share in His Glory in
eternity. He is glorifying His Name. He is not building a network
of millionaires.
But Mathew 13 is not about making money or gaining health. Jesus was teaching about
God is reaching out to a world full of
sinners destined for Hell, offering salvation and regeneration within.
We are all born with a sin nature that rules us. God does have an
answer for that and, if you are going to a good church, your pastor is making
sure you have heard the call of God to sinners.
Jesus came to live a perfect life and then die as the perfect sacrifice for your sins on the cross. He came, God as man, to speak the Truth and perform miracles and then, miraculously, rise from the dead on the third day and present that sacrifice to the Father as sufficient to atone for all that you (and I) ever did wrong or failed to do right. If we do believe in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ, have an actual realization of the Truth within us and want Jesus as Savior and Lord, we will be saved from Hell and be destined for Heaven. The Holy Spirit will come to live within us and we will have the power to obey God and avoid sin...no, we will not obey all the time but at least we have the ability to win.
You should know Truth because your pastor tells you and your Bible tells you: "...9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” 12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. 13 For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

Prosperity
preaching attracts a lot of well-off people who have nice homes and cars and
jobs. Prosperity preaching has a message for their itching ears. Prosperity preaching asserts that God loves you, you
are good people and He wants to bless you so very much!!! He wants you to
reach your dreams and you are right where He needs you. Just keep giving
and get those blessings! So many people are going to be well off anyway, but these "sermons" cheer them and keep them coming back.
Meanwhile, these prosperity preachers tempt those in great need by leveraging their desperation with a message that activates the greed factor. You will give from your want and God will give back SO MUCH MORE from His riches! Just be sure to give TO THEM first. Now just wait for that fortune to show up because you gave...and wait...and wait. When you do not receive it, they will tell you that you did not have enough faith. They may tell you that you did not give enough to activate the blessing. Maybe better try again?
Kenneth Copeland is worth up to 750 million dollars and flies in a private jet. Did Jesus die on the Cross so that Kenneth Copeland can have his own private airfield? Did God create the Universe so that, someday, Creflo Dollar could wear designer suits? Is the Holy Spirit making sure Joyce Meyer is so blessed that she can own multiple million dollar homes?
The prosperity gospel works...to make the preachers prosperous at YOUR expense.
